(RepublicanView.org) – Hollywood actress Sharon Stone is being sued following a fender bender last year. The 66-year-old was accused of driving dangerously before crashing into another vehicle and injuring its driver, Amanda Godepski.
Godepski filed a $35,000 property damage and personal injury claim against Stone in the Los Angeles Superior Court in mid-April. The court documents allege that the Basic Instinct star was “negligently owning, operating, driving, managing and maintaining a vehicle” when the collision occurred on a Route 101 off-ramp at Coldwater Avenue in Los Angeles last June.
The filing goes on to state that the defendant caused the collision by driving too fast and making an unsafe turn into the “plaintiff’s lane of travel and colliding with the plaintiff’s vehicle.”
Stone has a long history of legal fights. In 2020, she sued MTV personality Chanel West Coast – whose real name is Chelsea Dudley – for using her likeness in a song entitled “Sharon Stoned” without her consent. Throughout the track, Dudley mentioned the actress’s name more than 100 times. Dudley’s attorneys later said they had settled the matter to the “mutual satisfaction of the parties” but did not provide further details.
In a 2004 court case, Stone lost custody of her young son to ex-husband Phil Bronstein, She said this caused her to stop eating and led to significant health problems. She also revealed that during the court battle, the judge told her son that she appeared in adult movies, referencing her famous but controversial appearance in the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct, where she played a serial killer opposite Michael Douglas.
She explained that she was admitted to the Mayo Clinic with an extra beat in both the upper and lower chambers of her heart. The actress was diagnosed with anorexia and a prolapsed cardiac valve, complicated by a stroke years earlier.
Stone went on to adopt two more children and now lives with them in West Hollywood.
