(RepublicanView.org) – Republican Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has warned that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris. Speaking to Fox News, Haley repeated her call for competency tests for Presidential contenders over 75. She launched a furious attack on President Biden, saying he does not know where he is or how many grandchildren he has.
The President is facing growing criticism as press reports claim he has ignored a granddaughter born out of wedlock to his son Hunter. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned on the matter by reporters on May 2nd but said she would not comment.
Nikki Haley argues that Biden’s age makes it more likely that America will inadvertently end up with President Harris. She added that she would happily agree if competency tests were applied to her.
President Biden is the oldest ever to occupy the Oval Office and has exceeded the life expectancy of the average American male. If elected in 2024, he will be 86 at the end of his second term. If, as Haley is warning, the President were to pass away while in office, the transition to President Harris would be immediate.
According to historical records, 17% of US Presidents have died in office.
President William Henry Harrison died from pneumonia, at the age of 68, in 1841. Only a few years later, in 1850, President Zachary Taylor died from cholera at 66. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, as were James Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy. Severe health problems caused the early deaths of Warren Harding, who died from a heart attack at 57, while FD Roosevelt passed away at 63 due to a variety of conditions.
Biden suffered two brain aneurysms in the 1980s. On one occasion, a priest prepared to give him the last rites. He is currently taking several medications. If he were to die in office, the Presidential Succession Act would instantly transfer power to Harris.
